“We are thrilled to be co-hosting another exciting year of fun, fitness activities at the 2016 edition of our Sports Experience,” Conner said. “We have always believed that the earlier children take ‘ownership’ of their fitness and health statuses, the more likely they will make good choices as adults regarding their long-term wellness.”

Kids who come to the festival have the opportunity to participate in the Perfect 10 Fitness Challenge and win their very own gold medal! Our partners and sponsors have provided activities such as kayaking, archery, basketball, rowing, bicycling, slack lining, tennis, softball, gymnastics, weightlifting, soccer, baseball, cricket and a mega obstacle course for kids to experience.

Among many powerhouses partnering with Conner and Comaneci in the Sports Experience are the OKC Boathouse Foundation, the University of Central Oklahoma, the Oklahoma City Thunder, the University of Oklahoma, Spokies Bicycles, USTA, International Judo Federation, the Oklahoma City Energy, the Oklahoma City Dodgers, USA Weightlifting, USA Softball, the OKC Strikers cricket team and Special Olympics Oklahoma.

OKC RIVERSPORT will be hosting a number of activities including the “RUNderground,” a 5-kilometer family “fun-run” through Oklahoma City’s underground concourse. The RUNderground will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb 13. OKC RIVERSPORT is also hosting indoor kayak and rowing competitions, which involve racing on stationery ergometers.

The OKC Thunder will be providing the OG&E Thunder Bolt for kids to shoot baskets, a branded locker for photo opportunities, player measure ups and a photo booth. There will also be a special appearance from the Thunder Girls and a performance by the Thunder Drummers.

As part of the experience weekend, Bart and Nadia are hosting two high-level competitive gymnastics meets involving two collegiate teams and nearly 30 international gymnasts.
