Scott Kinney, a 1987 graduate of Tulsa’s Will Rogers High School, is working with “Star Wars” star Mark Hamill on a new show that examines what drives passionate fans and collectors.
The show, “Mark Hamill’s Pop Culture Quest ” will air in the fall on Comic-Con HQ, a streaming videoon-demand service that teams studio Lionsgate with the nonprofit Comic-Con International.
Kinney is known locally as a promoter of antique shows; his OKC Land Run Antique Show is set for State Fair Park in June. What he learned as a collector and a promoter led him to develop the idea for the show.
“The show started as me, as a collector, wanting to see a show about collecting, and wanting to see something a little bit different ” Kinney said.
